【摘要】:ThispartofBS3680givesrecommendationsonthefactorswhichshouldbeincludedinanyassessmentoftherisksassociatedwiththevarioustasksinvolvedintheoperationandmaintenanceofsitesusedforthemeasurementoflevelandflowinopenchannels.Muchoftheworkcoveredbythisstandardis,ofnecessity,carriedoutincloseproximitytodeepand/orfast-flowingwaterandfrequentlyrequiresoperatingfromfloatingvesselsorentryintowatercourses.Considerationisgiventothepotentialadditionalhazardsimposedbyloneworking,ofteninremoteareaswhereassistancemaynotbereadilyavailableintheeventofanemergency.Riskassessmentsundertakenusingthisstandardprocedureshouldnotstandalonebutbeincorporatedintothesafeworkingpracticesoperatinglocallyatanytime.
