【摘要】:WARNING—TheuseofthisInternationalStandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operationsandequipment.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisInternationalStandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ThisInternationalStandarddescribesaprocedureforthedeterminationofthemasspercentageofsulfatedashfromunusedlubricatingoilscontainingadditivesandfromadditiveconcentratesusedincompounding.Theseadditivesusuallycontainoneormoreofthefollowingmetals:barium,calcium,magnesium,zinc,potassium,sodiumandtin.Theelementssulfur,phosphorusandchlorinecanalsobepresentincombinedform.Applicationofthisproceduretosulfatedashlevelsbelow0,02%(m/m)isrestrictedtooilscontainingashlessadditives.Thelowerlimitofapplicabilityoftheprocedureis0,005%(m/m)sulfatedash.NOTE1ForthepurposesofthisInternationalStandard,theterms%(m/m)and%(V/V)areusedtorepresentthemassfractionandvolumefractionofamaterial,respectively.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedfortheanalysisofusedengineoilscontaininglead,norisitrecommendedfortheanalysisofnon-additivelubricatingoils,forwhichISO6245issuitable.NOTE2Thereisevidencethatmagnesiumdoesnotreactinthesamemannerasalkalimetalsinthisprocedure.Ifmagnesiumadditivesarepresent,itisadvisabletointerpretthedatawithcaution.NOTE3Thereisevidencethatsamplescontainingmolybdenumcangivelowresults,sincemolybdenumcompoundsarenotfullyrecoveredatthetemperatureofashing.Thesulfatedashmaybeusedtoindicatetheconcentrationofknownmetal-containingadditivesinnewlubricatingoils.Whenphosphorusisabsent,barium,calcium,magnesium,sodiumandpotassiumareconvertedtotheirsulfates,andtin(IV)andzinctotheiroxides.NOTE4Sincezincsulfateslowlydecomposestoitsoxideattheignitiontemperaturespecifiedintheprocedure,samplescontainingzincmaygivevariableresultsunlessthezincsulfateiscompletelyconvertedtotheoxide.Sulfurandchlorinedonotinterfere,butwhenphosphorusispresentwithmetals,itremainspartiallyorwhollyinthesulfatedashasmetalphosphates.NOTE5Fattyacidmethylesters(FAME)conformingtoEN14213andEN14214,whentestedusingthisInternationalStandard,wereshowntomeetitsprecision.
