【摘要】:General8212;Thisguidecontainsinformationregardingtheuseofmembranetechnologytorecoverandconcentratehazardousmaterialsthathaveenteredsurfaceandgroundwaterastheresultofaspill.Membranetechnologymaybeappliedaloneorinconjunctionwithothertreatmenttechniques,asfollows:4.1.1Differenttypesofmembraneareusedinserieswithfilterstotreathighlycontaminatedsolutionsreachingconcentrationlevelsofseveralpartspermillionoforganicandinorganicmaterials.4.1.2Differenttypesofmembranesareappliedinseriestotreatverydiluteconcentrations(partsperbillionlevel)oforganicandinorganiccompounds.Eachmembranetypehastheabilitytoremovespecificcompounds,thusproducingaconcentratedfraction.Thisfractionmayrequirefinaloff-sitetreatmentbutprovidesasignificantreductionintransportationcostsduetothelargevolumereductionachieved.4.1.3Membranesmaybeusedinconjunctionwithdestructiontechnologiessuchasadvancedoxidationprocesses(AOPs).Thismethodisrecommendedfordilutesolutions.ThemembranetechnologyportionconcentratesthecompoundstoanoptimumlevelforAOPdestruction.1.1Thisguidecoversconsiderationsfortheuseofmembranetechnologyinthemitigationofdiluteconcentrationsofspilledchemicalsintogroundandsurfacewaters.1.2Thisguideaddressestheapplicationofmembranetechnologyaloneorinconjunctionwithothertechnologies.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Inaddition,itistheresponsibilityoftheusertoensurethatsuchactivitytakesplaceunderthecontrolanddirectionofaqualifiedpersonwithfullknowledgeofanypotentialorappropriatesafetyandhealthprotocols.
